This album was created entirely on an iPad using the John Cage Prepared Piano App and the John Cage 4'33" app (information found here: johncage.org ).

John Cage was one of our most important composers, often using non traditional means to explore the sound around us. I'd like to think that if he were still around today he would be a great fan of tablets and what can be done with them in the pursuit of the exploration of sound.

A note about these recordings: The sound of the Prepared Piano app isn't of a high quality, and as such pops and clips can be heard in the recording of the pieces using it that I had a hard time editing out. It only costs $1, so perhaps one can not complain about the quality of it too much.

A very gracious thank you to Larson Associates and the John Cage Trust for their work in the creation of the two apps used in these recordings.
